Edward Demorest (Ted) was born in Belleville, Ontario, Canada in 1946. After a short career in the Canadian Air force as a communications technician he discovered a love of teaching which lead him to the Royal Military College and Queen’s University where he obtained his BA and BEd. High school teaching was a tumultuous period as he adjusted to the new curriculum and new attitudes of the modern teenager.
Teaching also took him to Europe where he taught for three years at the International School in Brunsuum, Holland. This lead to a re-awakening of his interest in his Huguenot roots which was the catalyst for his screenplay ‘Reliquary’.
Ted now resides on Vancouver Island, British Columbia and his book ‘Harvard Down’ is inspired by actual events that centred around a search for missing airplanes that have been lost since WWII when Kingston, Ontario was the site of a British Commonwealth Air Training Plan Base. One of many airfields in Canada that served as “The Aerodrome of Democracy”. See Ted on IMDB.
Edward Demorest and his wife Vicki are retired and travel extensively gathering more stories.
